Samantha began her professional journey by training with a firm of Chartered Accountants, where she gained valuable experience working with a diverse range of clients across various industries. This early exposure provided her with a strong foundation in financial and business practices.
She later transitioned into the corporate sector, taking on the role of Group Accountant for a well-established house building company. In this position, she was instrumental in managing the financial operations and contributing to the strategic growth of the business over several years.
Following a career break to raise her family, Samantha founded Benchmark Accounting. Driven by her longstanding passion for land and property, she now leads the firm’s Property & Construction portfolio. Samantha brings deep industry knowledge and a hands-on approach, offering tailored financial advice and support to clients within the sector.
Paul returned to practice with Benchmark Accounting in 2015 after many years working in manufacturing, charities and service industries.
Prior to this he trained and worked at a firm of Chartered Accountants in Chichester for over 20 years and has a wide experience dealing with many types of businesses ranging from small sole traders to multi million pound turnover companies.
Within Benchmark Paul has an overview of all of the clients and ensures that all statutory filing deadlines are met.
He also produces regular management accounts for clients seeking an up to date financial position.

Andrea is our client’s accounts co-ordinator and a key member of our payroll team and has been a part of Benchmark since 2012.
She has a wealth of experience in running purchase and sales ledgers, and has spent many years running the accounts department for a local charity. Her main responsibility is keeping our client's accounts up to date, which may involve working in house or out at client's premises. Andrea specialises in our clients with group company structures and complex inter-company transactions.
Kerry is a client’s accounts co-ordinator for Benchmark. Kerry is an experienced accounting professional who has worked in banking and bookkeeping roles for media and property companies prior to joining Benchmark. Kerry will be working across a portfolio of Benchmark's clients keeping their records up to date and in good order so that our clients have up to date financial information.
